Support Marradhali Aboriginal Corporation's Mission

Holly Hoad

Holly Hoad

I'm a proud Wiradjuri woman from Dubbo, NSW. I am dedicated to empowering First Nations youth, particularly young women, to achieve their career goals through study or access to industry.

With over a decade of experience at Charles Sturt University, I have actively supported students through their tertiary education journey. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Studies from Charles Sturt University, and I am currently working towards postgraduate studies fueled by my deep passion for research.

Additionally, I proudly serve as Director of Marradhali Aboriginal Corporation, contributing to connecting Indigenous people to community, culture, and language.

Through my various roles, I strive to make a meaningful impact by fostering education, empowerment, and cultural preservation within Indigenous communities.

Holly Hoad

I am a Wiradyuri/Gamileroi yinaa born and raised in Western/Sydney, living in Dubbo and surrounds since 2016. I am a mother to 3 young adults who inspire and fill me with pride every day. I have been a teacher and Careers Adviser for 20 years before becoming an education professional. I am now embarking on a pathway that allows me to share what I am passionate about - Wiradyuri language and culture, how we impact and influence others by our actions and words, sharing what I have learned over the last 2 decades with our community.

I am a strong believer in self-determination and being able to advocate for ourselves and our families by developing our skills and knowledge of colony structures so we can stand strong in our truths, supporting each other to meet our needs on our own terms.

Danielle Sparrow

I grew up in the Dubbo community and have also raised my 4 kids in Dubbo. I am a very passionate teacher with over 25 years of experience in education spanning all sectors and age groups. I especially love working with students and seeing them progress and succeed.

I have lived experience and professional understanding of disability as a parent, sibling and teacher. I am committed to ensuring that minority voices are heard, seen, and understood, with their rights respected. I believe that with a shared perspective, we can overcome barriers and achieve what others may think is impossible.

I love glitter, hot pink, sparkles, lazy sundays, time with family & friends and definitely enjoying good coffee.

Profile coming

Marradhali

Marradhali is an opportunity for us to find ways to work together with our communities to create change for our kids.

As experts in different areas of life we created Marradhali so that we could work together to try to shift the dynamic of our lives and yours.

Instead of trying to survive in the colony, we want to show the colony that we can thrive on our terms, under our own steam when we support each other.

Proper ways works - join us to show them how!

I am a proud Murawari, Kunja and Wiradjuri woman.

Growing up in Brewarrina I spent a lot of time playing around the river on Barwon Four Reserve where my mother grew up.

I am a mother of 6 and Grandmother of 8.  I have worked for over 30 years in Disabilities, Education and Employment.

I have a BA in Teaching and am currently studying for a Master of Indigenous Business Leadership through Monash University.

I am passionate about advocating for change in our communities that will empower and nurture our communities.

I have a strong desire to see the success of Closing the Gap to ensure a future that is bright and promising for our younger generations.

I strongly believe that we need to listen and learn from our Elders whilst nurturing and guiding our young people to take up the struggle when we can no longer do it. I believe that education, employment and housing are three of our major areas that need improving to enable our people to have an equitable opportunity to improve our lives moving forward.
